We believe the best patient experience comes from a genuine care and concern for our patients. One thing that sets us apart is the continuity of care you receive---you will always see the same providers who know your history and preferences. Our goal is to ensure every appointment meets and exceeds all of your expectations. You are our priority!
"I've known I wanted to be a dentist since early childhood (and go figure: I grew up on a street named 'Colgate'...what a coincidence, right?!!). Because I love human interaction, desired to be a health care provider, and enjoyed doing 'artsy' things with my hands, it didn't take much thought to realize that a career in dentistry would encompass all those things---a profession that would be rewarding to my soul.
I grew up in Lancaster, Texas, the only child of a hard-working machinist father who was an army MP who fell in love with my mother when he was stationed in Korea. My parents did not have the means for higher education when they were growing up and worked very hard at giving me the life and opportunities that they never had. They helped instill in me the ability to dream and accomplish anything that I set my mind to, and for that I am eternally grateful.
After graduating as top female student from Lancaster High School, I attended East Texas State University in preparation for my dental education. I graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1997, and opened my practice in Highland Village in 2001. Over the years, I've had many wonderful opportunities ranging from lecturing about the latest technology in laser cavity detection and painless air abrasion cavity removal at the renowned annual Southwest Dental Conference, to giving oral health presentations at local schools.
God has also blessed me with two daughters who are the absolute joys of my heart: Lisa, who is a studio art major at UNT while working part-time at my practice, and Kate, who loves performing in musical theatre and is a junior at FMHS. We also have a miniature schnauzer named Kirby and still reside in our first home in Flower Mound. I enjoy playing board and Apple games with family, video games (am an avid Halo 5 player), watching movies and tent-camping. We attend First Baptist Church of Lewisville.
"Scott graduated from East Texas State University with a bachelor's degree in radio/television and a minor in advertising/marketing. His professional studies also include computer networking, which led him to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Scott has enjoyed shifting away from the corporate world by immersing himself in our small and cozy practice. He's thrilled that he is finally able to offer the kind of exceptional customer service that his clients deserve by joining our practice. Scott shares the same philosophy regarding the care we provide: we provide the same level of care to our patients as we would want for ourselves or our own family.
Scott's interests include spending time with family, playing guitar, going to the movies, camping, Fortnite, and being the FMHS Theatre Booster Club president."
"Lisa has grown up being a part of Chenault Cosmetic Dentistry from almost the beginning! Being Dr. Chenault’s oldest child, she has modeled for the practice when she was a toddler, helped move the office to our new location, trained to be a sterilization technician and hygiene assistant, and is now our part-time dental assistant while attending UNT as a studio art major. Lisa‘s an active leader at UNT’s Baptist Student Ministry and is very involved with helping all students feel welcomed. In the little spare time she has, she enjoys quality time with family and friends, mission trips, concerts, hiking, and K-Pop.”
"Though Penny was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, she has lived all over the U.S. and officially became a Texan in 1992. Penny has been interested in oral health since she was young and even paid for her own orthodontic care when she was sixteen years-old because she valued having a beautiful, healthy smile. Penny graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1997. Penny has been married to her husband, Owen, for 24 years. They have three daughters, one son, and five grandchildren. Penny enjoys weight lifting/bodybuilding, sci-fi and comedy movies, Mexican food, and a variety of music. Penny works with the children's ministry at her church."
Kirby joined out practice on December 24th, 2018. Kirby helps Scott greet our patients from time-to-time and loves to be paid with ear scratches and hugs with our patients.
