The Team

We believe the best patient experience comes from a genuine care and concern for our patients. One thing that sets us apart is the continuity of care you receive---you will always see the same providers who know your history and preferences.  Our goal is to ensure every appointment meets and exceeds all of your expectations. You are our priority!

Dr. Waneta Chenault

"I've known I wanted to be a dentist since early childhood (and go figure:  I grew up on a street named 'Colgate'...what a coincidence, right?!!).  Because I love human interaction, desired to be a health care provider, and enjoyed doing 'artsy' things with my hands, it didn't take much thought to realize that a career in dentistry would encompass all those things---a profession that would be rewarding to my soul.

I grew up in Lancaster, Texas, the only child of a hard-working machinist father who was an army MP that fell in love with my mother when he was stationed in Korea.  My parents did not have the means for higher education when they were growing up.  They worked very hard at giving me the life and opportunities that they never had.  They helped instill in me the ability to dream and accomplish anything that I set my mind to, and for that I am eternally grateful.

After graduating as top female student from Lancaster High School, I attended East Texas State University in preparation for my dental education.  I graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1997, and had the blessed opportunity to practice in a wonderful cosmetic family dental practice in Arlington, Texas.  After a few years, I decided that I wanted to settle into a nice quiet family-oriented area and open my own practice, which is what brought me to Highland Village in 2000.  My husband and I bought our first home in Flower Mound, and my practice in Highland Village was opened in April 2001. Over the years, I have had many wonderful opportunities ranging from lecturing about the latest technology in laser cavity detection and painless air abrasion cavity removal at the renowned annual Southwest Dental Conference, to giving oral health presentations at local schools (nothing is more rewarding than seeing a room full of eager kindergarteners tell me all about their recent visit by the Tooth Fairy)!

God has also blessed me with two daughters who are the absolute joys of my heart: Lisa, who is sixteen years-old, and Kate, who is twelve years-old."

Scott, Business Manager

"Scott graduated from East Texas State University with a bachelor's degree in radio/television and a minor in advertising/marketing.  His professional studies also include computer networking, which led him to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.  Scott has enjoyed shifting away from the corporate world by immersing himself in our small and cozy practice.  He's thrilled that he is finally able to offer the kind of exceptional customer service that his clients deserve by joining our practice.  Scott shares the same philosophy regarding the care we provide:  we provide the same level of care to our patients as we would want for ourself or our own family.

Scott's interests include spending time with family, World of Warcraft, playing the acoustic and electric guitar, going to the movies, camping, and listening to '80s metal music."

Past Furry Associates

Bella - 2012-2018

Bella was another rescue Schnauzer that we took in.  She was a great little lady that joined our family late in her life.  We had her for such a short time but she was a great addition.

Ernie - 2000-2013

Our very first fur-baby joined us on Tax Day of 2000.  He was a joy and light of our family for many years.  Always there to watch and protect us.  Will miss him dearly.

Stinky Bobo - 1989-2005

While not furry, he was Dr. Chenault's very first feather-baby.  He was loud, squacky but loved to sit on Dr. Chenault's shoulder and give her kisses.
